Following the recent developments in the COVID-19 (coronavirus) situation, we have taken the difficult decision to postpone our HFN Annual Scientific Meeting which was initially scheduled to take place in Abuja April 2020. The proposed new date for the conference will be communicated to you all.
Persons with bleeding disorders are one of the vulnerable group with the disastrous outcome with infection of this virus. Our conference brings together Persons with haemophilia, caregivers, health professionals and our partners from all around Nigeria and beyond, and our Board of Trustees is keen to avoid the risk of transmission of this virus to our delegates.
We are disappointed but HFN executive director and The VP MASAC lead the Board is committed to responsible decision making, however difficult that might be. HFN takes the health and safety of her members seriously and must always do its very best to further prevent untoward possible exposure of Nigeria haemophilia community to the COVID 10.
We realise you may have several questions as a result of this decision. If you were booked to attend the conference in April, as a speaker, delegate or exhibitor, we will provide regular updates on the website.
